Solution Dyed Nylon Carpet Range Offering a fantastic 15 YEAR GUARANTEE for wear, colourfastness and stain resistance. In terms of pure wear our Solution Dyed Nylon Daytona range outperforms every other type of carpet fibre. Although the durability of SDN is outstanding, it is still able to retain a soft feel that other nylons sometimes lack. Solution Dyed Nylon and commodity nylon is like comparing a carrot and radish. SDN is dyed prior to extrusion, making the colour an integral part of the yarn - similarly to a carrot. Pieced Dyed commodity nylon is extruded as a white yarn and dyed after tufting. Colouring is therefore similar to a radish - coloured on the surface and white underneath, resulting in inferior colourfast performance. The Daytona range of SDN carpets is both stain and soil resistant, therefore cleaning and maintenance is easy. SDN is very resilient, so these carpets can be cleaned with harsher cleaners. However, we don’t recommend using bleach as it breaks down the polypropylene backing over time. Also, there is no absolute guarantee that SDN carpets won’t stain if spills are not promptly attended to or contain strong dyes. Our SDN yarn has a certain shape ensuring that less soil is deposited around the fibres and it makes soil less visible. The Daytona SDN carpets have anti-static treatment that is guaranteed for the life of the carpet.
