Many Carpet Country carpets come with a 7 year guarantee as standard and some of our latest solution dyed nylon carpets even come with a 15 year guarantee so you can see that choosing to a carpet is a hard wearing flooring option for your home.

In order to keep your carpet looking at its very best for years to come follow a few simple steps;

Vacuum regularly. Not only does it prevent dirt and grit from matting the fibres, it also keeps the tufts upright, especially in areas of heavy traffic such as entrance hall and stairs.

Vacuum the entire carpeted area at least twice a week to help maintain pile and the general cleanliness of carpets. An upright cleaner with active beater bar for cut pile carpets and a suction model for loop pile carpets is recommended.

Dirt and grit are your carpet's worst enemies. Protect your carpet by placing doormats at entrances and using plastic runners in wet weather.

Carpets should be periodically shampooed to give them a deep clean, use the best proprietary carpet cleaner available for the type of carpet. We recommend you get this done by a professional cleaning company.

Any spills and stains should be attended to immediately for the best possible result. Although many of our carpets are treated with a stain proofing it is essential to react quickly to any spill to prevent it from becoming a stain. We have a dedicated list of stain removal tips for specific problems

When your carpet is first laid you may notice some fluffing or shedding as fibres, trapped during the weaving or tufting process, work their way to the surface. This is perfectly normal and we recommend regular vacuuming, daily if possible, during the first few weeks.

If you should have to deal with any snags or pulls, never try to pull out the tufts. Gently snip them off with a pair of scissors.
